Rustic, quiant accommodation conveniently positioned off the N1 about 20km North of Bloemfontein. The rondawel we stayed in gave that familiar farm feeling where you could kick off your shoes and enjoy the sounds of the local wildlife, including the lions roaring on the nearby lion farm, as well as stunning fish eagles soaring all around. The interior is simple farm-styled accommodation, immaculately cleaned, and has everything you'll need. Plover cottages is a little slice of the bush life in the middle of your travels and makes for quite a lovely stay. Jim and Yolandi, the owners, will welcome you on arrival and make you feel right at home. Their warm and friendly hospitality really round out a stunning little stay over. Not to mention they are pet friendly and go out of their way to make your 4-legged family members comfortable and safe. 5/5 would recommend.

Absolutely amazing place! Great privacy, well located, super staff, pet friendly and really worth so much more than the asking price! Tranquil space with loads to do all around!

Amazing hospitality and the food was really worth it. Just an easy stop over to have a great rest before taking on the rest of the road. I will definitely use them again and arrange to have them cook my supper. It was worth every penny.

Cosy, warm and true Vrystaat hospitality and affordable accommodation. Even gave me feul to get to the next filling station. All creature comforts and more. Shower needs some attention though. But a great place to stay overnight when travelling through the States... Yes the Free State's!

I stay over at Plover Cottages every year on my way back from the coast. Lovely quiet place and my doggy is welcome to join me. The owner is a beautiful friendly lady.

Our host was warm and welcoming, even sharing some of her homemade rusks with us. It's a good spot for an overnight stopover when you need a good night's rest. A happy-go-lucky Labrador forms part of the welcoming committee, and the garden attracts some interesting birdlife.
