I find their prices to be reasonable. I usually go there for their famous chicken quarter legs and beef and wors package. The queues get very long on pay days but they move very fast. Their employees are friendly and fast on their feet. Roots also likes running car and cash competitions... I haven't won any of the competitions though????..

It's only good for the best prices on meats. But it gets too full and sometimes causes a discomfort as if you could be mugged. But I have not heard or seen or experienced any mugging. It's just a feeling I usually have when I'm there and it might not be an objective one.

Very disappointed,we waited for 30min to get d braai meat????????when o go to the cashier to refund me that's when the guy give it and it was cold.

This is a favourite meeting place for a Braai meal if you want to avoid sitting at home by yourself. Very convenient and allows you to walk around or do some shopping in a very relaxed atmosphere

Wafer thin meat cuts. Chesa Nyama below competitors in Bloem. Just not a nice place to be. Too many drunks at a place that sells ice cream for kids. Butchery is overcrowded and you're treated like a criminal on your way out.

Well some people enjoy meat from the place, but I for myself do not prefer 3rd grade meat fromntue butcery.
