Truely a small jem of a museum inside a working unit. Only for those interested in Armour and the military. If there do not miss the individual unit exhibits, and the annual photograph books. I recommend that arrangements are made with the unit for a guide as no one is there normally. 1 SSB has a very distinguished history.
School of Armour just up the road also has an impressive museum, and especially preserved examples of many tanks.

Very interesting stories and history stored in 1 location. Makes for great Saturday afternoon visits just before a braai.

There's so much that we don't know about the history of the south African army and at the museum we saw alote of battle history and the armour core
