Although we had a good weekend as a family together, the owner is extremely rude and should never be allowed to interact with clients.
We were told that the small children in our group were strictly forbidden from playing on any of the grass at the premises. It should be noted that there is half a rugby field (with poles), but no one is allowed near it. They had to play on the bricks in the parking lot. It was stated clearly that we had children in our group when making the booking.
We were accused of theft for taking rubbish bags out of the cupboards to replace the full bags in the bins. Not sure if we were meant to simply throw the rubbish on the floors?
We were accused of theft for taking fresh toilet rolls from the cupboard once the rolls in our bathrooms ran out. I'm not sure if we were meant to use towels when the toilet rolls ran out?
We were accused of theft for taking rusks. We had brought bags of our own rusks, so this is highly unlikely. Take note that NONE of the "Complimentary" coffee, tea, sugar, ets, is replaced during the stay. We were there for 3 nights.
We were told to "Go buy your own water" to fill the water jug in each room. Why have these in the rooms and leave them empty?
One of the rooms had no DStv reception. The cleaning staff explained that this is a known issue and that there is nothing that can be done. The owner, via an extremely rude message sent via messenger, told us it did work.
The owner proceeds to call us barbarians who have probably never travelled in our lives. As a family we have travelled to every continent and stayed in many guesthouses. Never have we had anyone as unpleasant as this owner threaten and accuse us. The owner proceeded to threaten us "This will be taken further. Choose your words carefully. You don't know who you are dealing with."
Please. For your own sake, AVOID this place. The photos look nice, but are not a true reflection of what you will find there.
