A hidden gem of note. Well maintained circular route in a reserve with lots of history attached to it with an elevation that provides stunning views of the surrounding areas as far as your eyes can see, as well as a view of Table Mountain.
Visible and friendly security at entrance and on the pathway. No entrance fee, no parking fee and it's open everyday!

It was out 1st time today to the nature reserve. To say the least it is awesome!!

It is so clean and beautiful! There are a lot of security so it is very safe.

Will definitely visit at least monthly. Just a pity you cant take dogs on a leash.

Thank you for this awesome park

Our own small little Nature Reserve on our door step in Brackenfell. It is not huge, but a little spot to have a picnic and just enjoy nature. There is a couple of security guards around so felt fairly safe. The walkway inside the park is not very long and also not very hard to walk. Overall a good little spot to come and unwind.

I went to Bracken Nature Reserve during winter. Most of the flowers werent open and a lot of the animals was/are hypernating but even withou all that The Nature Reserve still had a lot to offer. The Nature reserve has long trails where one can take a walk all around the place. Most of the paths has logs so you can see and walk clearly; the logs also helps to steer you on the right pathway. The view, the diverse variety of plants and birds really makes it a special environment. There is also, on certain days, a whole tour of the Nature Reserve. The Nature Reserve is very special because it has gaspipes which let all the uncessiary gasses out of the earth and then scientest investigate/they do research via the gasses.

A bit of nature, surrounded by neighborhoods. A circular walk of about 2km with little walkways off the path to explore, with picnic spots, nature garden , playpark and a cannon to visit for a bit of history. Moles have damaged the walkway through the natures garden, making it less accessible to wheelchairs
