EXCEPTIONAL!!! Mario and Annemarie went above and beyond to accommodate us on VERY short notice. We were given beautiful rooms, treated with such friendliness and hospitality and could not get enough of the stunning view. We will definitely be back soon and highly recommend this Guesthouse to anyone passing though the Gordons Bay / Cape area.

You sometimes read reviews with a bit of doubt, however this place is different. Everything we have read was an understatement. The Chocolate Box was as sweet as its name suggests. We were spoilt beyond our wildest dreams. The staff are attentive and pay attentions to the small details that make all the difference.

The location of the Chocolate Box on the slopes above Gordons Bay gives you a feeling of floating over the area. The rooms are exceptionally well appointed with spacious common areas. We had a choice of venues for our breakfasts.

Talking about breakfast, the menu is delicious, every dish needs savoring, so book a long stay to work you way through the entire menu.

The review will not be complete without mentioning Olaf and Brad, they are excellent hosts, nothing was to much for them. They know the area well and were a valued source of information regarding wineries and other attractions.

We will be returning in the future, for sure!!!!

I just cannot recommend this place enough, even if you want to be in Cape Town, which is 40 minutes down the freeway. Treat yourself and stay at the Chocolate Box.

If I could give more stars I would! My husband and I stayed at the chocolate box with some friends for a couple of nights after coming back from the safari. I honestly thought nothing was going to top up the experience “in the bush” but I was in for a huge surprise - from the moment we arrived Brad u0026 Olaf were so welcoming (that check in ????), took super special care of us - we felt at home - and made our experience so amazing, it was the best way to finish our fabulous trip to SA. Thank you so much for everything!

If you seek a home away from home, then you have reached your destination. This Boutique Hotel boasts spectacular views, a divine breakfast, well appointed rooms and a selection of lounge music that transports your soul into a blissful Zen. The overall ambiance is quaint and it exudes an understated elegance. Operations are run by a close knit team of individuals who have truly redefined the meaning of hospitality. The Chocolate Box will forever remain etched in my memory as an oasis of serenity where I have met my second family away from home. My heartfelt thanks and gratitude goes out to Olaf, Brad, Bernadette, Susanne, Bradley and Fabio for making all of my dreams come true.

Simply breath taking Mountain and ocean views looking over Strand and Somerset West. Night time the view is magical. The house is tastefully decorated with modern and stylish finishes throughout this beautiful Guesthouse which overs self-catering units as well. Great breakfast and very comfortable sleeping experience.

Wow what a phenomenal experience! Olof and Brad were exceptional hosts! We felt like family when we left (we were sad to leave)! Their attention to detail was extraordinary! Decor was awesome, I know they took lots of time and effort to make their guesthouse awesome! The breakfast was a feast! We had to take a break in between the courses! The view OMW amazing! Thanks guys we definitely coming to visit again ????

One of the best stays ever! Attention to detail in every aspect. Tasteful, upper-class, a level above the rest. The management and staff are unbelievable! They go beyond their duties to assist the clients. We were so sorry that we had not booked a longer stay here.
