Great hotel for families! We are a family of 4 and we got the 2 bedroom/ 2 bathroom with full kitchen for the 5 days we were in capetown from the USA. Our older son visited us a couple nights and he slept on the couch in the living room. Very large comfortable and clean rooms. Service was excellent. We are Marriott titanium elite and we got breakfast for the 4 of us included. Excellent breakfast. Hotel has a great location with good security and indoor parking. Highly recommend!! Only negative is washer dryer combo in the room isn’t very good.

My boyfriend and I went to the Protea Hotel by Marriott Cape Town for their happy hour special between 17:00 and 19:00. When we walked through the doors there was a very positive energy. Before anyone spoke to us we already felt welcome and it felt like a space that we wanted to be in. Zarah at the reception desk helped us. She was very friendly and gave off such a happy vibe. She gave us more information on the hotel and encouraged us to book a stay for a night or two which we will definitely do soon. The rest of the staff that we interacted with, one name I remember is Unathi, they were also very friendly. Even though we were only in the restaurant area of the hotel, we loved the energy and didn't want to leave. We will definitely be back!

The room was 5/5 for its size, cleanliness, and relative modernity. There’s half decent facilities with a rooftop pool and small gym that’s a 3 or 4/5 for me. Staff is friendly too and prices are good. What brings it down to 2/5 for me is that when we had the air conditioning on it blasted in unmistakable second hand smoke and our room reeked all night. My wife and I couldn’t sleep after smelling that and all our clothes reek now. We are not smokers.

This property is a hidden gem in Cape Town.

Location - easy walking distance to all attractions and downtown.

Staff - a wonderful team of people from housekeeping to the General Manager.

Property - the rooms are spacious. In fact they are larger than most one bedroom apartments. Full kitchenette and washer and dryer in the room.

Restaurant- good quality food and great selection at breakfast.

This is my go to location in Cape Town for over 14 years.

We had a wonderful experience at the Protea Hotel, Service was excellent ???? very friendly staff both at reception and restaurant. Room was very spacious and nicely decorated, also clean.
The Breakfast they had was amazing, nice variety. Definitely recommend 10/10.

One of the best Hotel experiences i ever had. The rooms were excellent for the whole family. Check in was within 1minute and the food at the restaurant was very good. If you looking for good value for your money, I recommend Protea Hotel North Wharf

An amazing stay. Room was larger than expected and tastefully decorated. Staff were welcoming and observant. Food well priced and delicious.
