Rooms are neatly done however I think its time they change their mattresses, not comfortable at all. Breakfast was standard for all the 4 days of my stay with less options. Otherwise the place is okay

It's a really beautiful hotel. Kitchen staff are really friendly especially the senior sous chef, reception staff not so much,

The bathrooms are really old school and mould is building up in our bathroom. They didn't offer us any shower gel, shampoo or lotion. For a 4 star hotel I'm not too impressed. Their travel desk is out of this world. The gents there are very friendly and helpful.

Good value, excellent location

Pros:
Staff: everyone was friendly and professional, answered all our concerns, nothing seemed too much trouble. Shuttle to the waterfront was very convenient and drivers were excellent and helpful. Breakfast was very diverse, there was something for everyone's taste. (Although there were visibly much more choices when we came before 8:00 am, rather than after 8:30 when everything was swooped off by tour groups that stayed there as well). Location was excellent, hotel's proximity to the sea added extra value for us, there was always a fresh sea air and the magnificent waterfront. It was beautiful to walk along the promenade, running, watching sunset. We also felt very safe, even late at night. Parking was an extra bonus - if the property in the basement was full, there was a back-up lot outside which was safe and convenient.

Cons:
Room was on the smaller side, with a dated decor. Also, the bathroom: the wall above the bathtub was cracked right in the middle with a bare pipe sticking out. It looked as if it was done 5 min before we checked in and the job was still unfinished. The faucets and shower head were quite old. Cleanliness - on the second day, even though they made up our bed, the bathroom floor wasn't even swept.

Overall, given the location, the price, and the recognized brand name behind the chain, the hotel was an excellent value. I would stay there again and would upgrade to superior rooms.

Stayed for 10 days in what seemed like an upgraded room. Shower was sloped improperly and caused the washroom to flood at the door everytime. Breakfast was frequently very busy with little to no service, frequently out of many things. The offer free shuttle which was good but didn't show twice. Staff was very friendly however, management needs to do a better job of deploying them ex. I'd rather have more service at breakfast than some guy to chase as down in the lobby every morning to ask how our stay is going. Good location however, will not be back, other options in Cape Town for this price point.

The service here is really good! The staff are very friendly and accommodating! There is a free shuttle every hour to take guests to the Vu0026A Waterfront which is really awesome! The rooms are not the most modern but that didn't bother us at all, because they are clean and comfortable. We are on day four of our stay and I cannot fault this hotel at all. It's value for money. Friendly staff make all the difference!

The hotel was clean and neat. However, the hand sanitizers at the lifts are not working. The lady at reception had a bad attitude and was as unhelpful as possible. We asked her to let us know if we can check in a bit earlier. She then lied and said she tried to call me but I had no missed calls. She basically just told us what is not allowed. She did not explain to us where to go once we parked and we ended up wandering around the back of the hotel and had to figure out where to go. Our luggage was left in the foyer and when we asked if we need to move it to the 7th floor ourselves or would it be moved for us we got a rude reply that covid practices do not allow it. They could have just explained this from the start. Serious double standards by the staff with not adhering to the rules set up for the guests regarding the number of people in the lifts. It is a pity because this hotel is beautiful. The staff is letting the brand down.
