A quiet escape and a sanctuary for indigenous plants,insects and birds however more needs to be done to curb the growth of alien vegetation and the overall wellbeing of the wetland ecosystem.

Godd and relatively safe area. Many lodges and guest houses in this area aswell as it being an area central to most of cape town
