Out of the 500 shark species worldwide, South Africa hosts 100. Interesting? Well a visit to this educational center is worth a visit if you are in the Kalk Bay area. Parking can be a hassle, but a leisurely stroll on the beach front makes up for it.

As a tour director doing a research visit (unannounced ie not letting them know and having a chance to prep) I was blown away at how good they are. The exhibits, the murals, the info, the general feeling one gets walking in is absolutely phenomenal and made even better by the young lady who showed us around, Zanele, she is full of passion for the subject not to mention bubbly and friendly to visitors.
I cannot recommend this place enough with all it's aspects for all ages.

Super super impressed with this little gem! We came across it by accident and I'm so glad we did! Super educational and interactive, not only for kids. Top quality visitor centre. Well done SOS!

We spent two very interesting and informative hours at the Shark Museum. Zanele was wonderful with the children - they loved their visit. Thank you so much.
