I've been to this guesthouse twice now. It is in a very safe and beautiful location. The rooms are fantastic, they have a unique feel to them, and the access to Netflix is just a cherry on top. The beautiful garden, is a great place to relax and unwind in the afternoon. The host is very friendly, welcoming and very accommodating to the guests. I would recommend this place to anyone!

Rooms comfy and stylish without being pretentious. Management could not have been more friendly or accommodating. Won't hesitate to stay again next time we are in the area. Full marks.

The wild fig is a hidden gem of accommodation. The host is gracious and her staff are always on hand to serve with a smile. The breakfasts are a must have, you can taste the care and love that goes into this homely setting. A home away from home whilst making new friends

Never in my life was I treated with such utter disrespect and rudeness.
Here is what happened:

I and 5 friends went zip lining at a nearby venue. Since we finished earlier than expected we went to a restaurant to have lunch to kill the time, since we where only allowed to check in past 2. We all had 2 drinks with our food. After that we went to a local Spar to buy some food, wood (since there is 2 braai's), some ice and mix. Yes we did have alcohol but that was not in the bags we had in our hands upon arrival. As we parked in the driveway her husband came out and we greeted him by hand. He was very friendly. As we walked with this lady she told us that no alcohol is allowed on the premises. We decided to leave and drove home.
Please lady. My parents own a guest house in Velddrif and never in my life have I heard of such nonsense. I know the rules of a guest house and will respect our property. Do not judge a book by its cover.

Kind Regards

I really loved staying here, the accommodation is tasteful, comfortable and the location is private and safe. The hostess is very friendly and helpful. The Wild Fig has a gorgeous garden and is located close to main roads and shopping centers.
