Great service (although expect some delays), unpretentious decoration, good variety of indian food. I ordered a vegetarian curry and I was not satisfied. It was lacking texture and flavour in the curry which made me slightly disappointed. My colleague ordered a bunny chow, which was incredible. Good size portions and beautiful spices.

I wish I could give more stars, but I cant. Visited Vandiar's about a month ago and it was really disappointing. When we arrived, I happened to notice the place two doors down was so full and busy and I looked at Vandiar's which was close to empty, then and there I already had a bad feeling. The service was laughable, waiters were friendly but beyond clueless. The food was "ok" I guess. The only dish that was somewhat tasty was the lamb curry. This place has potential but really needs lots of work.

Real Durban style curry close to the heart of Cape Town. Nice fresh juices with a variety of dishes to choose from.

We were at Vandiar's two years ago with a group of friends. We all ordered different dishes and the food was all very good. So armed with that memory, we went back last week for lunch, and we were very disappointed. My butter chicken was extremely bland and I have never ever had a worse tasting Mango Lassi. Although our waiter was very nice, we won't be hurrying back!

I ordered a lamb bunny. Some pieces of meat were soft. Some were hard. The curry had a slight bitter taste. Definitely not a Durban Curry but good staff member kept me company.

Ordered a bunny chow and got stale bread, literally two pieces of meat and a large potato curry cooked a day or two ago. We will not order here ever again and encourage Mr Delivery to review the food quality standard of this merchant. Very dissapointed

Excellent! This was a surprise to find authentic, well spiced indian food. Great service, music, atmosphere, and very economical. I recommend the sampler plate for 1, I was impressed with their curries. Our quiet table on the second floor was a great way to relax with a view.
