I’m absolutely disappointed with the standard of the Albany hotel. This is ridiculous! I’m not one to write a review after a bad experience but this experience was so horrible I had to share my thoughts. The rooms are so small, definitely not what you see in the pictures. The mirror was cracked, the AC wasn’t working. There was a kettle and two cups with no coffee/no tea. There was no hot water in bathroom. The TV had visual glitches. The last straw was the blanket! They have these old brown blankets and they cover them in a thin white sheet which is not warm enough . It’s was a mess. I highly do not recommend.

My room was clean, everything was in good working condition.
Bed was comfortable
Rooms were close and I thought we were going to be disturbed by our neighbors kanti lutho, I guess they have thick wall.
Great location even if you planning to use public transport, there is a Durban Moover bus stop just outside the hotel and the taxis are literally seconds apart.
If you are coming by car, be ready to folk up R50 for over night parking.

We stayed at Albany a few years back and did not expect what my family and I encountered this week. Absolutely horrible service. When I arrived my room was still not ready bed wasn't made, bathroom looked dirty and there was what seemed like mold all over the wall. I immediately had reception get me a new room. The bathrooms has no towels and when you request it, it only arrives hours later, reception keeps saying someone will bring it shortly. WiFi is absolutely terrible. There are no eating cutlery, there is a kettle but no coffee, sugar or tea! The beds were disgusting and outdated there were stains on the sheets and an old blanket. I would not recommend anyone to stay at the hotel. It is completely outdated and UNHYGIENIC when I got out the shower I still felt dirty! I am not one to complain and write reviews if I have a bad experience, but I don't think anyone should have such an experience. If I could give negative stars I would.

The standard rooms are not that great , i booked one double bed and got 2 single beds ???? i don't know whether we were supposed to combine them in order to have a double bed.

Location is good not very noisy for a big city like durban.

My room was cool except it didn't have any chairs just one dirty whatever it was. But for the money i paid it was okay. Ohh again please remember to bring your own iron.

Very clean... I loved how smooth the lift goes up but a bit rough when it goes down... So maybe just a few maintenance needs to be done above all great.

A great stay indeed, impressed by staff correcting thier flaws quick and efficiently. Try preparing rooms before the guests arrive please, towels must be there and offers written on the website should be present in the room ie bottled water. Great 2 nights I stayed keep it up!!!!
