A bit disappointing. The paths were seriously overgrown and it looked like some homeless people had been living in there. Fear of snakesand muggers caused me to turn back about 100m in. Managed to get some decent pictures of a few butterflies though. Hopefully maintenance will resume now that covid lockdownmeasures have been eased.

Very well maintained and forgoten heritage site. Great spot to take the kids for a bit of a walk and chase the crabs and get back to nature

It is still a good spot to visit, in my opinion. However not in the greatest condition. Toilet is clean and decent.
Pathways are kept cut, but boardwalks are non-existent.
Hoping that NPA will start making it better again once more people visit.

Very nice place to go birding...Lots of birdlife but unfortunately the tide brings in rubbish.

It's a microcosm of what Durban bay was before industrialisation destroyed most of it. The facilities aren't being maintained but ignore that. The toilet works and there are security guards. The entrance to the board walk has been blocked because parts are disintegrating due to inadequate repair but if one proceeds with caution and common sense one can experience the mangroves. Good birding for waders.

Not much to write about. Parking is adequate. Security at the premises unaware of why it is an heritage site. There is bird life. No directional boards or route markers.

So So place... Paths have been cut nicely, but the beach sections are full of trash... A LOT OF trash. The wooden bridges needs maintenance. There are rumors that you will now need "permission" to enter the site, from some dodgy office in town?!?! Well...that is what a security guard told us last time we went the Geocaching.
Toilets were OK...but no toilet paper
