We stayed in cosy den , and stayed in December 2021, the unit we stayed in is not ideal for self catering for a family , the two bedrooms are fine but they converted the lounge area into a room that is shared with the tiny kitchen , in the lounge area there are two single beds which take up most of the space , instead of having a pull out sleeper couch. It does not have a stove but a two plate oven , which is very old and burnt on the stove plates and on the inside of the mini oven, the glasses and cups were all mismatched , some had broken chips on them. The place is very outdated in terms of the set up , it is also not vacation friendly as it is in a suburb area and the neighbours will complain about noise , the beach which is close by is beautiful but it is not a swimming beach . If the guest house is full the parking space is limited and a hazard as the space to park is very limited. All in all the money spent to stay there over the December period was not worth the accommodation for a family with kids. The bedding was changed and there is WiFi , would recommend for short business stays not a long vacation stay as self catering , a lot of the plugs and switches were also dirty and the bathrooms are tiny compared to the pictures .

You are definitely liers and not a nice place to stay in, on a holiday. Didn't provide toilet paper, we had to ask for it. The manager very rude threatened to call the police on us. We booked the whole house there were no other guests. I dont know how do you know that there was toilet paper couse you the owner wasn't there. No one threw bottles and cans next door. You are a liers and deceiver. As an owner you are replying in this like you were there and and you were not. You need just to apologize in behalf of you manager and not defend them. As they really dont know how to talk to people they are very rude and disrespectful to people.

This place is not vac friendly as we were shouted at every night for playing music even though we asked is it vac friendly the lady said yes of course. we were advised to leave and come home at a certain time . Neighbors lit firecrackers at the monkeys almost every day. The helpers that were meant to clean the rooms didn't clean and if they did they would throw the knifes and forks everywhere in the draw.

Definitely not worth the money spent - below standard cleanliness, doorknobs missing from cupboards doors, kitchen drawers and cupboards falling apart and slightly dated furniture. The interior needs a bit of TLC and attention. I would not recommend the guesthouse for someone who would like to stay close to and have easy access to the beach. One compliment would be that we did get crisp clean bedding. However, there are many more value-for-money guesthouses to consider in Umhlanga itself.
