First time ordering from here and quite disappointed. Ordered russian chips and vetkoek. Vetkoek was awesome, can see thats something they specialise in. Russian was tiny and average. Chips for me was terrible, couldnt eat them. There my pregnancy craving for russian and chips went out the window. :(

Ordered a mince fat cake. Today wasn't my lucky day. Had to remove half of the potatoes and hunt for the mince.
Don't drop your quality, rather up your price. We come for value for money, not the price.
Service fast and friendly and shop very clean.

I love their cheese russians and chips! According to my husband the fish cakes are also very scrumptious

Im from Glenwood. Been buying here on and off from the time Fat Cake City Bluff opened. Whats changed really is the friendliness of most staff, and the quality of the food. The chips is excellent, anything beef is over salted, and the chicken burgers are now 90% tasteless. I am glad that ordinary bread buns are offered now, I did not try it, however the Fat Cake is generally too oily, but after todays buy, dont think I want to buy burgers here again. The presentation of the food is always very good, but as it tastes almost like nothing, I would not recommend. There was a young girl that was doing the casheering. Second time she has helped us. She has either no emotions, but certainly NO personality at all. As for the gent that served us, well done!
