My favorite is the half price sushi on Wednesdays. Taste is always consistent. .. Their breakfast is not advisable and coffee servings are way too small for the price

I’d like to thank Skhumbuzo who replied to my query, great service????????. I first got the wrong order then I got the right one the fish was a bit under cooked(This can cause serious illnesses) so I couldn’t eat it especially because of my condition, there wasn’t any vinegar or tomato sauce for the french fries. It was my second time ordering from JD in bluff and it was the exact same thing I ordered the first time so I thought the standard would be the same unfortunately not. I love JD I always go to the one in uShaka and it was the first time something like this happened.

Overall an okay experience but with Covid 19 and Wednesday being half price sushi, the restaurant should really consider taking bookings, rather than making people wait in a que to be seated. Also, even with the revamp of the store it isn't that big, social distancing is almost impossible .

Went there to have breakfast, I can't eat tomato or toast and wanted to replace these two items with anything else. Was told this was completely impossible. Could not have extra chips/ mushrooms/ salad instead etc. My waitress seemed sweet and asked the manager about replacements but he said no. They did offer me a free coffee when I said that it's fine I would go somewhere else but I did try to insist on paying for the coffee. The manager then came to the table and stood there asking me to stay for the breakfast for the remainder of my coffee instead of letting me sit and enjoy it. The place was very clean though and it probably would of been a nice place to eat otherwise if there was some leeway for allergies. - There is a decaf option on the menu for coffee which is also very nice! - Might try the place again when there is a different manager on duty and update this review.

Definitely not my favorite restaurant experience. We waited too long for the food to arrive and all we ordered was a simple breakfast. When it finally did, our waitress had forgotten our toast and we had to call her back. Paying was also another hassle that i had to wait for. This was my first time at JD so idk if it's a JD thing or just a bluff thing. If i do give JD another shot, it'll be at a different location.

Went back here twice recently. The first time I went for breakfast and the toast was cold - this was not the first time either and as such the butter wasnt melting over it. The second time was today and the service from my waitress was horrendous. It was not even packed as it was during the day on a weekday. I asked her to arrange a takeaway for me and she really took her own sweet time walking around the restaurant and smiling w everyone like she had forgotten. I think i mustve waited more than 5 minutes before i called the manager and asked him to do my takeaway give me the bill. Also apparently the sushi special is only applicable for sit-downs but no-where in store, online or anywhere that this is advertised did they indicate this. Love the sushi from here though. Its always delicious, affordable and gorgeous to look at. However, this will probably be my last time going there. There were also flies buzzing around everywhere - i noticed one lady had one of those fly away candles at her table. A fly even flew into my glass in landed on my food. Truly not impressed as all 3 of my visits have been unfavorable.

What a nice place, John Dory's Bluff. Our waitress went the extra mile to make us happy. A special thanks to Sthoko our waitress. She insisted to warm up our toast after we finished our meals. What a sweet lady. John Dory's is number 1. Best food and value for your money.
