Great experience. I suggest you rather do it in the evening. The Durban harbour u0026 city lights will look amazing in the evening. Food was top class. Furthermore, I suggest book on the bottomevel of the boat - tables sizes upstairs are limited. Will definitely do it again. Entertainment was also top class.

The experience is one in a million. The buffet is a good idea but not much variety. The alcohol is very expensive. It's a nice place to dress up and view the Harbour. The dessert was great!

Upon arrival, my family and I were appalled at the filth and total neglect of the parking area and rubbish in the area leading up to the La Vue. There's rubbish in the "water features", cigarette butts, empty water bottles and dirty water. The advert is totally misleading and inaccurate . The photos make the La Vue look all glamorous and beautiful but it is the total opposite! We would definitely NOT recommend the La Vue to anyone. The boat is in desperate need of a good clean. The toilets are grubby and smelly. My daughters wine glass had the previous guests pink lipstick on the her glass? My family work very hard and we were all excited for this experience but what a disappointment to have wasted our time and money. The only good thing was our little waitress, Melissa. She was attentive and nothing was too much trouble for her. The food was good.

Didn't get to cruise out due to bad weather conditions, tried booking another trip later on but was told the boat isn't sailing. Tried calling the numbers on google to book yet another trip and only reached voice mail (a cruise is still owed to us as we didn't get a refund). For the price you pay you'd expect a 5 star service and gourmet meals, not just an average curry and tasteless starter. A year later and 1K down, still haven't been able to successfully book a cruise.

Same here, booked for Valentines Day and was promised a live performance while docked, said the propeller was not functioning then promised this..."In lieu of this, as we do not want you to leave disappointed, we will provide complimentary drinks on arrival for you and your guests. As well, we will be sending complimentary cruise vouchers for each of your guests to come through on any other Friday and Saturday night for the cruise only.
To join the buffet on the complimentary trip is normally R300 but this will also be waivered and you will be able to contact us from March to join the buffet and dinner and no cost." ...We still waiting for those vouchers, have sent numerous emails and no response and then eventually got mail delivery failures saying email does not exist.

Worst experience ever. After booking in advance, Tried contacting the office to confirm all day on the day, no answer to the phone. Arrived on time at the dock, they took photos, put on a whole charade and then the Manager Mr Govender says the boat is not in service. We allowed to eat the buffet, and a free boat ride when the boat comes back into service(with an extra charge for food again). I'm sorry, what's the point of going on a floating restaurant for free and not have a food option. You have inconvenienced our holiday, you have been inconsiderate in informing your customers, you have been pound foolish in not compensating your customers with an equal option to what was fully paid for. Upon leaving finding out the boat has not been in service for the last 2 weeks and the office still taking bookings. Also finding out items specified on the menu are not available on the boat. Poor experience. I don't even rate you 1star.
