Food is inexpensive and delicious. I would have given a five star rating if it were not for the location. Parking is not easy also. However the food is a must for a vegetarian Durbanite. The Masala tea with just a plain tepla is also great. I tried the Thali. It has a few curries and well worth it.

Lovely eatery in central Durban. Vegetarian menu. Tasty breyani, curries and snacks. They have been operating in Durban for decades and are a favorite amongst many. If you are in the area, you should try them out.

I ordered a masala dosa takeaway.

Then I entered the shop, I noticed it was very dirty, the walls, counters and shelves were covered in dust and grime, but I thought because of the reviews I have read about, I overlooked that and was hoping for a delicious meal.

After reaching home I ate some of it, but stopped after my 3rd bite.

The Dosa was fresh but the coconut chutney and the vegetable masala was NOT fresh, and I could taste that immediately. They obviously make batches and keep it in the fridge or somewhere until a customer orders it.

I was very very disappointed and will never go back there again. Thank God I did not get food poisoning.

New Little Gujarat Restaurant, i know you have been in business for 20 years, but you will never see me there again.

Vegetarian only, food smells delicious. Humble and friendly staff. No frills, just good old fashioned warmth. Definitely a little piece of India.

Very good authentic gujarati food in durban. Sweets are fantastic. Special items are made on Saturday. Only problem is there is no parking facility.. but taste of food made up for the parking hassle.
