Awesome flat, very close to a lot of amenities and lovely friendly staff. Felt very comfortable with car guards watching cars during the evening. Def a must to go to but think peak season might be very noisy.

It’s ok
The location is fantastic, next to Ushaka Marine World and on a nice beach and promenade.
The staff are friendly, not helpful.
The unit was clean but not neat. The bed was uncomfortable and quite curved. Bathrooms were okay. Dirty windows, but nice views.
NO ENTERTAINMENT.

Kitchen was nicely equipped but a mismatch of the cutlery and crockery.
Parking is a nightmare! You have to park outside which is not safe at all especially at night in the area… you can rent a wheel clamps, but you pay which was not mentioned prior to arrival from my points booking with RCI. I was worried about my car all the time for the midweek.

Overall its not expensive, but not for me…
I’d rather pay the points extra and stay at Durban Spa.

Not a nice place to stay. Place is in dire need of an upgrade. You don't feel safe in area and get harassed by beggars and vendors.

Very neat and clean. With security and safe place. Big rooms with self catering at its best. Recommended for a lovely stay in Durban.

silversands 3 was once a great place.i have booked in here many times before .indeed its my last stay here due to disgusting customer service from sandy an incompetent staff at reception .first i called and ask is it possible to leave luggage in room before 3pm due to family emergency. She says yes room is ready only wanting me to fill formality form so she can leave early and she then request people to take my bags and they dump it in a storage on the floor.on arrival she lies and denies what she told me .me and my mother really have been inconvenienced as the service here sucks .i took all my goods and left ,spent the night at families place and came back a day after.no peace and quiteness as renovations in progress next to my unit the entire day.room tv is not working.the cockroach tour the unit at night.i have shared this horrible experience to all my friends and family who no longer consider booking here via the holiday club who has taken over silversands 3.

My experience at Silver Sand was one of dismay. We arrived on Saturday 26th of March 2022. We where booked into room 402 which wasn't a nice room. The toilet seat was broken, one of the window panes was broken and on reporting it the the reception desk, was told the problems would only be attended on the following Monday.
On requesting to be moved to another unit our request was not heeded and nonsensical reasons given as to why we could not be moved to another unit.
On Monday, we were then faced with another problem of enduring the noise of renovations taking place in the unit next to us (Room 403). The only way of escaping the noise and chaos was to be out of our unit and only returning to sleep.
We have visited Silwer Sands often in the past through RCI and always enjoyed our stay there. This was our worst ever experience we had at Silver Sandd.
