The Oceanic would have gotten four stars if it hadn't been for the generator like sounding air conditioner and a few other issues.
The first apartment had a hot plate and that was of no help because I needed an oven, didn't I?! We were given another apartment that was nicer but still no oven. They don't put in ovens in a two sleeper because we don't roast or bake.
If you're going to put in a hot plate stove, spend a little more and put in one that comes with an oven...nuf said
The general layout of the kitchen is simple and lacked thought and whilst we don't spend hours in it (we're on holiday or working), we want it to be functional...simple can still be functional.
The bedroom was lovely...no complaints except for the noisy air conditioner.
There was no soap dish or shower caddy or a shelf of any sort, on which to place your toiletries. Be careful of getting a scalding when in the shower...happened to us a couple of times.
You should take back your money from the contractor that does your renovations or if you're hiring a handyman, someone should oversee his/her work.
The lack of pride in their job and untidy work in the painting, grouting and silicone robs you of nailing that upmarket look you're trying to achieve with your porcelain tiles, stone cladding, bespoke wallpaper, etc.
The staff were lovely. Mr. Moyo, the manager, was even lovelier (just a wonderful man)and quite accommodating. I applaud what he tries to do with the given budget.
Oceanic, I'm in your corner(believe it or not)...just sort out some stuff and you'll be great, perhaps four stars, maybe even *****
