1. Was given conflicting information by the night staff upon checking in versus the day staff.
2. Requested assistance having a dress hung on the washing line to dry, it was instead placed in an industrial tumble dryer and when I was informed and subsequently flagged that the dress was damaged, I was offered a cold apology. Almost had no outfit to wear to the wedding I came to East London for in the first place.
3. Booking was made on my behalf and there was seemingly confusion about check-out dates. I was woken up in the morning and rudely notified that whoever had made the booking needed to come back and pay extra or I needed to leave. Had to book elsewhere for my remaining day in East London.
4. On my first night, was injured by the bed that had springs jutting out of the mattress. Reported it and was given the worst attitude and begrudgingly moved to another room.

I’d never set foot at this place again. Honestly just driving past and seeing it with my eyes gives me nasty flashbacks.

Worst travel experience ever. In the world.

Beautiful, went there form my interview but i must say it is beautiful and stylish, the employees are so friendly even the guy that cleans outside, it shows that that they are well taught and treated .

Rooms are spacious and well stocked for something hot to drink. They also have a small cash bar with cold drinks, beers, chocolate and chips in the foyer. Loved the shower and cosy balcony. The old worldly charm is rightly fitted for a lord. Would have liked to have a hairdryer though but luckily it was windy and I could air dry for a healthy change. They do serve supper but could not provide a pricelist for each individual meal except for when they would ring it up. The breakfast menu looked divine so I will definitely have a go at it. The Vincent Park mall is just a short distance away for any shopping to be done. Will recommend this guesthouse any time.

I travel for business and stay a week at a time. 5he staff are friendly. They even pack a lunch bag for me sometimes. They are so accommodating. The dinner is amazing. You don't miss home that much!!
