This is a lovely vacation complex on the Hermanus coastline. I can see that it is an ideal place for family vacation. It is quite central and it has hospital and shops close by. We were using it as a central place to sleep while photographing the surrounding areas. The only concern is the fact that you feel surrounded by informal settlement.

Very safe and nice estate right by the cliffs.
However, one of the approach roads is through a sketchy part of town and must be avoided. Guards reccomend not walking out of the beach club on foot.
No restaurants/cafes/supermarkets inside the complex (a bar and small convenience shop exist) so plan accordingly for short stays.

Our stay was good, unit beautiful and clean. Only down side is all the shacks next to the facility. Dogs barking non stop and music playing. Not safe to take a stroll on the beach, there is warning signs of muggings.

A great pity that the munisipality allowed the shack dwellers to build on the same road as the resort. The gardens are lovely and the access is great to the rocks from where many whales delighted us. The units are comfortable.

The facilities were absolutely incredible and the location on the beach was also fantastic! It would have gotten a complete 5 stars if it were not for the neighboring tin shacks right across the street Of course this is more South African politics and economics, but it can be quite unpleasant, especially during the night.

Literally right on the beach! Beautiful beach vibe with clean beautiful rooms, perfect for family getaway! Gorgeous setting to watch the sun rise and right on the water. Games room and clubhouse with bar in the estate.

1. Security concerns!!! When we arrived it looked like we’re entering a industrial site/yard. The complex is located next to a informal settlement. Doesn’t feel very holiday!!!

2. After paying R10000 for 4 nights you’ed expect a clean apartment with clean floors and windows so you can see the amazing view, we got the direct opposite. Worst was there was no brooms, squeegees, buckets, hosepipe nothing to even do it yourself. Had to buy it just to see the view.

It costs R250/300 to get a cleaner for a day before your guests arrive, please don’t be greedy…
