The building is STRUCTURALLY pleasant , but that's the least you can ask for - given the prices you'll pay.

Everything else... A COMPLETE NIGHTMARE. Those who manage the building will have you depressed (GENUINELY- speaking from my experience) and regretting ever signing the lease. I'm a self funded student with a single mother. Knowing that she's making sacrifices for me to live in this place breaks my heart... Forget about how nice the place looks on the outslide, think about your parents sacrifices before you think about living here.

Electricity and water tokens never last the month. Youll find yourself eating bread because you need to save electricity to charge your phone. You'll find yourself turning off the water once you've gotten your body wet, leathering yourself in soap and only back on to rinse. Might even find yourself washing with a dish with kettle boiled water.

Ive logged many maintenance issues that were falsely changed to "status :completed" or issues were completed in a manner that caused damage to my valuables (9k+ worth to be more specific).

The cleaners don't even use antibacterial/antiseptic chemicals when cleaning the toilets. I've had a few mascara mark on my mirror for 3 months straight.

Laundry is NOT free like they advertised. In April they introduced a clause that laundry is only free if you make time to deliver and collect your laundry to/from ONE laundry lady (who does laundry for ALLLLL 16 FLOORS). If you miss her you'll spend the entire day trying to find her-forget about doing school work on laundry day!

I could sit and type for hours. This place is NOT THE ONE.

Unfortunately there’s no way of giving them zero stars but you are better off flushing your money instead of taking up lease with this company. The staff will cause you emotional distress, I can assure you of that.

Wow... the staff???????????? mmh???????????? such amazing kind souls. The staff over here knows how to treat people well they aren't just friendly but they're also patient towards people????. South point has many accommodations but this is the main South Point offices in Braamfontein that deals with the admin before you can move in.

They will take their own time in paying you your deposit mean time it’s your own money.
They don’t take student matters seriously, you could report and issue and all they will say is sorry for the inconvenience.
You and your roommate could literally kill each other and only then will they take your matter seriously. Certain things could be avoided if they really wanted students to student better . I don’t recommend them.

South Point does not live up to their promises and they sell lies to you as a student looking for a place to stay. They have very, very, very, very, very(emphasis on "very") poor service delivery and tenant complaints are not often taken seriously. Problems range from no hot water in bathrooms, to no secure W-Fi conections. Considering that you or your bursar is paying for the facility, you do not get value for your money. The Central office staff members are not the friendliest of people and issues such as room deposits may take several months to be resolved. They will look for reasons NOT to pay back the "refundable" room deposit. I would suggest looking for another place to stay, because South Point is not the best... more especially for their rental rates.

Brought back my WITS memories down the line! The place has grown so much. The stuff including the security personnel are very friendly and take their jobs seriously.
They mean business!!! The place is neat and tidy. A big thank you to the cleaners!!
