Good steaks! Beautiful decor. Worth a visit. Ask to view the cellar that the mine workers used to get into the bar after shifts.

Noisy, drunk patrons detracted from an otherwise pleasant experience. Fresh, well presented food and excellent service. The outside seating area needs some attention to decor and atmosphere. Somewhat utilitarian with the feeling that as many seats as possible have been crammed into the available space.

It's a bar with a large open area with many tables. It is an a somewhat dodgy area, but the food and service was good. Their card machine didn't work when I was there, so had to go to ATM to get cash across the street. Apparently it changes from bar/restaurant into night club with bands and DJs on certain evenings. Was very quiet when I was there at about 4PM on a Monday afternoon.

Went looking for dinner in quiet Kimberly and found Star of The West on the corner. Delighted to discover the spacious courtyard and friendly service. Had a great meal. Neat facilities and good music from the DJ box.
