My husband and I stayed in the Birdsong cottage and we were blown away by the magnificent views, peace and tranquility from the cottages. The cottages are perfectly tucked away in the forest giving you the feeling of being secluded in nature yet are modern, very luxurious and fully equipped. There are multiple hiking trails and I’d highly recommend a morning hike - the views are worth the early rise. Mark is also such a gem of a host; friendly, accommodating and fun. I’d highly recommend Forest Valley cottages for those looking for a getaway to escape the rush, relax and rejuvenate!

Spectacular view from balcony. Comfortable unit, lovely decor and private. We had a wonderful stay and lots to do in the area.

Owner should cut the trees and plants in front of unit which are spoiling the perfect sunset photos. Unit needs maintenance.

This place is just worth it! It's so refreshing and really makes you feel closer to mother nature!
Load shedding was an issue though as it affected everything, including water as it uses water pump. That was the only downfall but I recommend the place 100%. We got a warm welcome from Mike and very informative ❤❤❤

Wow!! Forest Valley Cottages must be on your bucket list to visit! Most amazing view! Wonderful host and friendly, helpful staff!! Allow yourself atleast 3 nights!! You won't regret it!! Thank you Mark and team!!

Wow.......what an awesome experience we had here. We stayed in Lavender Edge, the views from the balcony was beyond words. Peace and quiet guaranteed. The jacuzzi was relaxing with mountain and valley views. Mark, the owner, was on par with service and suggestions on what-to-do in knysna and surrounds. Great markets in knysna and Sedgefield, a must see on Saturday mornings

We had the BEST three days at Forest Valley Cottages! The location and views are stunning and the rooms are wonderful. We went on the hike on the property and the path was quite overgrown but was enjoyable nonetheless. We also made the most of the stunning pool! I would definitely recommend this accommodation.

Great getaway and the owner is super lovely! Stayed at one of the old cottages - new were fully booked for my dates. I'll stay at a new cottage next time. As you can imagine, an older cottage is not going to be as immaculate as a new cottage.
