Really nice and clean hostel. The free breakfast is super convenient. The rooms are spacious and the beds are quite comfortable. The bathrooms were kept clean and the showers always had hot water. The backpackers is in a great location, close to tourist attractions and walking distance to a really nice supermarket. Overall I enjoyed my four night stay in Jembjo's, would definitely recommend.

Very friendly hostel staff. The private rooms are nice. But the dorm isn't really quiet at night due to the lack of a door to the communal area. Also the bathrooms are lacking proper doors and therefore privacy. For one night it was fine, but I wouldn't stay longer.

Staid here for two nights and the staff was really friendly and helpful, they gave us good advices on how to spend out day around. They have a nice patio and a pretty big common area/kitchen where they serve free simple breakfast from 7.30 to 9.30 (toasts, jam, butter, fruit, biscuits and boiled eggs). They also provide free tea and coffee all day. The dormitory room is comfortable enough although the toilets seem to not have much privacy as it hasn't got a proper door, it's kind of a sliding plastic door that separates it from the dormitory.

Excellent, safe location and pleasant environment. The backyard patio is definitely enjoyable. The dorms are a bit tight, and the school next to the building is somewhat noisy in the morning around 8:30. Light sleepers definitely need ear plugs. The owners are fun to talk to.

We just went for the day to Knysna. They are still busy upgrading their place. If you you just need a place to stay on a budget realy the place to go it will alow you exstra money to spend at the gift shops of just a nice dinner . Probably best priced in Knysna. They make it affordable for you. Thank you

This is a basic hostel that's clean and ideally located 2 blocks from the waterfront. My understanding is that there are only mixed dorms, so if that's not your thing, then you may want to look elsewhere. The bad: while the hostel is in good condition, it needs updating, especially the shower/toilet areas. It has an 1980s vibe with wood panelled doors, etc. Worse, the doors are slotted (partially opened), so they lack the privacy that you'd prefer. Since the dorm is mixed, there needs to be a seperate dressing area (not just the shower, which is usually wet.)

One of the better value for money accommodation. There was a cold breakfast included. Staff were friendly and appead helpful and informed about places of interest. The property was clean and tidy. I was able to park my vehicle behind a locked gate.
