I don’t even know where to begin. From the decor, comfort level, amenities and food - everything was outstanding. The room and garden is clean and beautiful, most of the gorgeous breakfast is handmade and any thought of a diet is quickly forgotten, such lovely and thoughtful details in the rooms and the hosts, Rob and Diane, are just the most superb and welcoming hosts. This will very quickly become your home away from home. Perfect for single/couple travel or parents with kids.

I can't even begin to recommend this place highly enough. Rob, Di and the entire team at One On Bollard are top class. The rooms are beautifully furnished and the attention to detail is apparent everywhere you look. Their breakfasts are DIVINE, with a different special each day and a sumptuous buffet. Bread, butter and jams are all homemade. Cappuccinos are abundant!

This is the perfect example of an owner-run establishment. No request is too much trouble and the pair have a wealth of knowledge about the area, willingly giving their advice on places to go and even booking guests in for dinners and activities so we don't have to worry.

As if that weren't enough, Rob and Di are dog lovers, with each suite named after a different one of their dogs. If you are travelling solo like me, ask if you can take Max on a walk in Steenbok Park!

Finally, don't stay for less than 3 nights. There is so much to see and do in Knysna and this is the perfect place to stay to enjoy it all.

After 3 weeks of South Africa, our stay with Diane and Rob was the best of all!

My hubby and I had a lovely stay. Diane and Rob are wonderful hosts and are really at the top of their game. We felt instantly at home and they both went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and welcome. The breakfasts are so well considered and delightful. We would be back in a heart beat.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay under Diane and Rob’s hospitality. The guest house is gracefully styled and the rooms clean and comfortable. Best of all, the breakfasts are mostly homemade and tasty - jams, breads, baked yoghurt, granola - and each morning’s specially cooked meal under Rob’s tutelage is sumptuous. Great place from which to explore Knysna and it’s wonderful surrounds. Would highly recommend for the discerning traveler.

My partner and I stayed at One on Bollard whilst on a mini break in Kynsna. We were absolutely blown away on all aspects of our stay here.

The guest house is beautifully decorated in a coastal style that oozes calmness and relaxation. Our host Di and Rob were fantastic. They made us feel so welcome and at home from the moment we arrived and were eager to offer recommendations of places to go and things to see.

The breakfast is to die for (especially Dis baked yogurt with fruit compote) She was kind enough to to give us the recipe. There’s a breakfast “special “ of the day rustled up by Rob( different everyday ) which is sure not to disappoint along with a lovely buffet for you to help yourself.

Our room was stunning and everything we could have wanted was in reach. They really have thought of everything to the finest detail. We didn’t have the nicest weather on our trip which was a shame but to be honest we didn’t mind as we enjoyed spending time there. The worst part about staying here is you won’t want to leave. In our opinion you wouldn’t find anywhere to stay in Kynsa that would top this.We can’t wait to return. See you soon Di and Rob and thankyou so much !!

Well what can I say about this amazing place. If we could give it 10 stars we would. From the moment we arrived and were greeted by Diane we felt so comfortable and at home. This place is truly fantastic and every little detail by Diane and Rob is perfection! The rooms were immaculate, shower was best we have had in south africa, and the bed so so comfortable. Breakfast was the highlight. Such fantastic team work from all the staff, with Diane on the coffee duties (always a fresh cup on the way!) And Rob on the food (you can see the passion he has for food although he may not admit it) was definitely the best breakfast we had in SA. They change up the menu every day and have 20 recipes in a rolling rotation, so you never know what you'll get. Diane was superb at booking anything you need in the town, from dinner to spa treatments she is the lady in the know. So friendly and wonderful this place is, and if we are back in Knysna in the future, this place will be first on our list. We never normally review places but felt this place truly deserved a great review. Dianne and Rob are so interested in all of their guests and genuinely want their guests to have the best experience possible. Thanks again, we loved our experience in one on bollard.
