Establishment can do better. Staff is not really welcoming, a laissez-faire attitude. Rooms are OK, but holes in the thin, washed-out towels, mould in the shower detracts from the experience. Limited viewing available on the TV. Guesthouse in a nice location, but unfortunately a bit run-down. A pity indeed.

Booked a room for overnight in March 2019. On arrival reception could not find the key. Gave me a room. The tv remotes dit not work. Asked reception but she could not help. Could not use the clothes cupboard as the door was broken off. The noise in the building was terrable. The alarm going off right next to our room. 100% sure. I will NEVER use your poor service again!! Before you make a booking, make sure to find alternative accomodation. Dont ever stay at Nels River guest house!!

I made a payment through airbnb for this guesthouse. it showed availability for the specific dates, and requested a payment, which I made. After half an hour I receive a mail that stated that the room was no longer available, and that they will refund me in about 15 workdays! So in the meantime they get the interest on the money of their client, while the client must wait up to 15 working days. I phoned twice to speak to the owner, but the manager refused to give me his number. THIS IS UNEXCEPTABLE...

Customer service is poor. No communication about maintenance. lodged for 5 nights and I am thinking of checking out after 2 horrible nights. Its either the geyser is not working or something else and there is no communication whatsoever. Poor poor service

Rooms are modern yet cosy, gets cleaned every morning. Love the atmosphere.
Would love if breakfast could be included in the price. Definitely worth a visit.

The place is nice the bathroom needs a revamp. However the room was spacious and the staff is extra friendly. I will be back

Potentially very pleasant and rooms great but swimming pool was very dirty and green, breakfast was poor and booking system not working.
