Ocean Basket Hartenbos

My daughter and i drove from Reebok, to go to Ocean Basket located in Hartenbos.

When we arrived there, they had loadshedding and informed us that we can only have something to eat, if we chose to have it grilled instead of the usual "fried" versions.
We agreed.

I believe the manager, took us to a table outside, with a stunning view of the ocean.
After a little while a waiter came over to ask us what we would like to drink.

He brought us our drinks and took our order.

The staff were friendly and respectful.
The meal was amazing, as Ocean Basket always does it.

I would highly recommend anyone to give Ocean Basket Hartenbos a try...

They keep leaving the lemon butter off the meals, we live quite far from the restaurant so it's not possible to drive back. The best I get is sorry and then they do it again. Lemon butter is part of the meal and leaves the food quite dry without it. Don't do take-away from here it costs a fortune and they don't really care.

Absolutely shocking experience. We arrived at OB and we were the only customers in the restaurant. When asking the manager if they could extend the table at seafront view he was hesitant and barely could assist. Our drinks order took forever and we decided to leave before ordering food wondering if we will ever be served food. Never seeing us again.

Food was tasty but cold. We were a large group and all three the platters was cold. Waiter forgot part of the order as they do not write down and try to remember. I will be hesitant before coming back to OB Hartenbos

A fantastic experience. The view is amazing and there is a great atmosphere! The staff were very friendly and professional and the food was fresh, well prepared and delicious!

We've visited this Ocean Basket every December for about 4 years now, and we've never been disappointed.

Order fish chips and rice with a mint leave soft drink. The fish was so full of oil and tasteless, the rice was under cooked and dry and the chips over cooked. Then the mint dring had bad leaves in please see pictures. Will never visit or recommend Ocean basket ever again.

This is possible The OB in South Africa with the most fantastic ocean views!
I'm almost certain that it is possible to throw a stone right into the ocean, if seated outside.
Food is great. Actually beter than many other OBs I have visited.
Friendly staff, great service - even with a waiting list the length of a tillslip!
