We couldn’t have been happier with our stay at Raw Karoo. The (family) room was clean, had lovely comfy beds and crisp cotton sheets. The breakfast was outstanding and the grounds spectacular. We only stayed a night but would definitely recommend.

This is a must for every traveler through Oudtshoorn. It is centrally placed in town and close to a variety of Oudtshoorn attractions. The staff is always ready to help and the quality coffee in the rooms are a great add on for every visit!

This guest house comes highly recommended. It is one of the best guest houses we have stayed in with lots of attention to detail, making the stay pleasant and comfortable. Great bed and linen, stylish space, good wifi, delicious breakfast and welcoming, friendly reception, to mention a few. We are looking forward to return to the Raw Karoo Guest House!

Firstly the accommodations didn’t quite look like they did on the website but they were clean and tidy. We advised upfront with our booking that two in our party were vegan. No milk alternatives were provided and when I showed disappointment about that the owner said “oh sorry I don’t know what vegans eat or don’t eat”. Hmmm. Every interaction from that point seemed to be an annoyance especially after asking to have our shower drain unblocked, being told it was done and then finding it not to have been. There is absolutely no attention to detail here. Not a bad place but we did not feel welcome. We won’t be recommending it to anyone nor will we be back.

The hosts went out of their way to accommodate us - unannounced and late arrivals without bookings. The renovations, decor, finishings and details are top-notch; comfortable beds and decent hot showers kept us content. Assistance the following morning for one of our group was given without hesitation. Breakfast was outstanding - try their Eggs Benedict! - with lots of attention to detail. My only regret is that we couldn't stay longer.
