My friend and I visited your eatery earlier today. No-one greeted us at the gate to take our temperature, sanitize our hands or take down our details. As we entered the grounds, we were greeted by a patron who was on her way out and she indicated she'd been to the toilets and they were in such a state that she felt she could not eat in the restaurant. At the end of our meal my friend went to use the loo and although it was a little cramped, it was clean enough. The watron who attended to us was very friendly and gave good advice as to what was best on the menu. I ordered the French Toast, with bacon. The bread was delicious with the syrup, but I couldn't eat the bacon, it was too fatty i.e. not cooked crispy enough fo rme (so from my point of view I paid an extra R20 for 3 pieces of bacon and only could eat 2) My friend was disappointed with her pie, as it seemed to have been heated in a microwave, which made the pastry hard to cut through (chips seemed to have been reheated). but the Milkshakes were amazing...NEVER before have I received a full glass of milkshake, with a second equal amount in the silver container it had been made in. I'd ordered a Coffee milkshake and did not expect the coffee to be put in the bottom of the glass and topped up with the delicious milkshake....I managed to mix it all together with my straw.
Oh one more 'issue' - I asked for salt and was given a little container from which I had to use my fingers to sprinkle it onto my bacon...why no salt cellar (surely this is unhealthy during Covid 19)
I trust we are the only disappointed patrons and that everyone else at the venue enjoyed their meals.

Exceptionally slow service. Waited long to place an order and then more than half hour wait for a ready made scone and slice of milk tart. Dry, funny textured scone and close to sour milk tart. Filter coffee tasted like instant coffee. Won't be back

We were a group of 4 people that went there from Somerset West, but we will never visit again. There is hardly anything to buy and the rusks and bread is on plates in the open with no cover over. The lady behind the till was absolutely so rude

Had lunch, took home lots of delicious treats and looked at animals. Nice for city folk to get some country.
