Cheap and not even worth the stay. The bathroom smelt, had an unpleasant smell and the shower was dirty and looked infectious.

The floors were dirty in all 3 places we were taken too. One of the rooms had spider webs and sand laying around.

Very disappointed stay, Unprofessionalism and unfriendly attitude from the owner in all aspects.
I would not recommend this to anyone!????

My daughter stayed there last year u0026 was quite happy; this time, however, it was a different story. Toilet dirty u0026 smelly, shower slimy, oven full of grease, bunks broken.. .. Overall a disappointing experience.

Not even worth one star, stay away at all cost. Pictures not true reflection, owner very cocky. Drunk caretaker, nobody there to check in that knew what was going on. Apparently I booked after hours but when you have accomodation business surely you should be available at 2pm on a Saturday!

I don't regularly sleep here when I come to Potchefstroom, but they had a special that was truly a good price so I decided to book there instead of my normal place.

The rooms are nice and big enough and the bathrooms are also very nice. It has a very small kitchen space, yet it has everything you might need to make a decent breakfast. You have your own fridge, microwave small oven and stove. You are provided with some tiny shampoo and shower lotions which is nice and also tea a kettle and sugar.

The beds are nice and soft and you are provided with enough pillows for if you sleep very high up or very low.

All in all I would easily visit this place again if I simply remembered all these attributes but I had a bad experience because I could not sleep for more than 30 minutes at a time because I kept smelling the person who slept here before me. I don't want to sound like a racist but then again every person has their own smell and I simply wasn't able to sleep due to the previous visitor's (or cleaning staff) smell stuck to the bedding keeping me awake. For this reason I left at almost 5:00 in the moring.

I would recommend this place because I am quite sure this is an isolated event

It is in a very dodgy part of town. The electronic motor gate doesn't work - I was worried about the safety of the car. The units are student accommodation (noisy). The security gate at the unit can't lock. The tv wasn't working. The reception is unfriendly and unhelpful. I left after 2 hours and booked into a hotel.

Very unhappy with their service, I booked accommodation in May and I am still struggling to get a tax invoice from them. I have emailed and called numerous times, they don't respond on email or whatsapp and when I call they say their emails are off line or that it will be resolved but it never gets attended to.

Made a booking on the 11th of June for 12 June at Herberg vir Afrika. Traveled from Keimoes in the Northern Cape to Potchefstroom just to hear the place is fully booked. Not even worth 1 star.
