In our experience the worst hospital ever.
My mother in law gave the people her name and number under multiple occasions however the nurses chose to phone a family friend every time to update them in how grandpa was doing instead of his daughter (my mother in law), the hospital phoned the family friend(instead if his daughter) to inform her that grandpa passed away, we tried phoning this morning to know what happened, the nurse didn't even inform het of his passing, she would've phoned us back, the whole day passed and no one phoned us.
I'm really disappointed, and on top of everything the nurses never know what's going on with their patients????

I went to Bougainville at 4 the morning with a kidney stone and it was just minutes before I got a bed and treatment for pain. All the staff in duty was professional and the rest of my treatment and stay was high standard. I will definitely give back again if I need medical care again and I will recommend this hospital to anyone that needs good medical treatment

Good Morning,

I trust that you are well.

I would like to express my deepest appreciation and thankfulness to you, all the staff that assisted me yesterday including Dr Emeka Ugwu at the Bougainville Hospital. For assisting me yesterday without me making payment for the Medical Care and kindness that I have received yesterday from all of you. These days there is not a lot of Medical Centres that will assist you without payment being made and yet all the staff and Dr Ugwu assisted me without hesitation, for that I will forever remember this kind gesture received from all you and Truehealthmed 24.

You are all very good hearted people and I have no doubt in my mind that you will be rewarded and blessed one day for the kindness you have extended towards me.

This world most definitely can do with more people like you all in it.

Thank you once again

Kindest Regards
Charlotte Van der Merwe

On the 2nd of January 2018 I took my granddaughter to emergency. I got there at about 5:30pm. I saw the doctor which told me that my granddaughter had to be admitted because she has a sist under her arm which had to be opened. They put a drip on her and got her ready to be admitted. Then the lady at the reception told them that they don't accept Medihelp Dimension Prime 3. I ask the lady at reception how is it possible that my medical aid is not accepted and who told her that. On which she replied she knows they don't.The doctor and sister on duty were really great. Trying to find us an hospital who is able to help us. After 4 hours of waiting I told them to please remove the drip that I can go home. The lady at reception then wanted to charge me after hours fee . I told her she can't charge me after hours fee as I was there before 6pm, on which she replied that she only opened the file after 6. After an argument she reduced the fee too the normal fee. This morning 3 January 2018 I phoned the hospital to find out why don't they accept my medical aid and I was told they do. I am really upset about this whole incident. I would really like to get feedback on this issue because now I have to pay for someone else's mistake. I am really disappointed with the service I got. It wasn't the first time I made us of your facility, and always rated your services tops. But this is really unacceptable. Thank you

On Monday morning I was rushed in to Bougainville emergency care with a sugar levels of 25.5. We had to pay R150 to see a dr. The lady was so rude she called me to go and wait for triage. We moved to the room that was marked teiage the she started to screen at me. I was emotional felt like hell and this incompetent women screens at me. I just took a chair when I had to get up again losing my balance. We paid meaning we pay their salary and that's how patients are treated. Getting into the ER they wanted to send me home with another script and I insisted to see my Dr Mbala. He immediately admitted me. Getting to the ward I was told there are no pillows. Linen was changed once in a 4 day stay because they had a shortage if linen. The food was awful. Being diabetic we eat 3 main meals with snacks inbetween. I ate the same good everybody else ate with no snack portions not even large enough for a baby. My family brought me food the right food. Government hospitals has better services than that pathetic place. I had to wait 3 days for Vermaak and vernote to get emergency blood results having my spouse call their head office before we got the results Ampath even worse. I WILL NEVER GI BACK TO THAT HOSPITAL. I'd rather go to Kalafong. I will be filling a case with the hospital Ombudsman. The only pleasant thing as part of my stay was the sisters and nursing staff except for Monday evening agency staff the nursing assistant did not even know how to work the vital machine..
Thanks to Thebogo the case manager you are amazing for calming a patient
Dr Mbala remains the best
Reception lady that worked Monday morning at ER you are rude have no idea how to treat patients no ethics or telephone ethics you don't belong in that position it's people like you that's the cause that hospital israted as pathetic you should sit where you have no human contact rather type reports

As for the staff at the radiology department we are humans not trash. I thought I was the only one that was badly treated at your sonar department but you were the topic if our discussion especially thevblidbrhay did the sonard early Tuesday morning. It's Thant's to us as the patient that you gave a job you will also be reported
The running look lady with the black shoulder lenght curly hair we are sick may be you should keep it in mind have more compassionate in stead of running a race and getting impatient

A formal report will be written and I will ensure the hospital board get a copy, all Ombudsman involvefvall healthy professional councils newspaper

We are not patients when you see us your eyes see money you don't care about us

As for the hospital apply to become a government hospital they will come train you and put you back on the map

We were 8 patients that was discharged yesterday and we all had the same ratings

The type of hospital that inform a diabetic not to eat from 10:00 morning cause he will be going to theater - not checking on him, not checking his blood-sugar, now it is more fun to sit around! Then at 19:40 he may go to theater. Then the so called Dr does not check his file, prescribes the WRONG insulin to the patient - does not say a word to the patience but before the Dr was there the medical aid processed the claim!!! For a whole day they did not check once, not even to check if he is fine, not checking his sugar or anything (they took his glucose meter). Clearly services has been down graded - WOW you guys are almost like Kalafong.
