A hidden gem. As a visitor from the University of Cape Town, I was warmly welcomed to the University of Pretoria by Tribeca Coffee. The food is superbly priced in comparison to the artisanal cuisine offered at the University of Cape Town, and as such is a perfect treat for students whether it be to wind down after an exam or catch up on some lost time with ones colleagues.

My friends and I chose a variety of options on the menu and have concluded that one cannot go wrong with their choice of order. I hate to chip away at the integrity of this establishment, but at times the waiters can be slow, and the latte sizes and slightly smaller than the industry standard.

However, management was always eager to assist and the techno playlist they've got running will certainly keep you on your toes.

Tribeca is one of those fancy restaurants..so I went to this one on campus at the University of Pretoria and I only went there cause we had a voucher otherwise we wouldn't have afforded a thing there...it's one of those restaurant I see on American movies where the waiter will provide you with the bill to settle and pay a gratitude fee for her services..
The food was lit ????????...like they were Soo fress....the best thing about Tribeca is how I noticed that everything is homemade and they are all fress

There is a good selection of drinks both hot and cold and all the drinks i have had there have been great. The place is great if you want to sit down to work or chat with friends. There is a decent amount of plugs so that students can use their laptops. The university wi-fi also has good signal. The atmosphere is quite relaxed. They waiters will mostly leave people alone to talk or work, although this does mean that service is quite slow if you don't order takeaway.

As a student at the University of Pretoria, Tribeca is a great place to study and meet with friends. It has amazing cheesy fries, and their hot chocolate is pretty flavourful. It is; however, quite expensive in my opinion, and some of the staff are extremely disrespectful. I once went there with my boyfriend and a waitress threw a menu at us while she walked by our table. She didn't stop or bother looking at us, she just walked by and chucked a menu at us. Otherwise, the food is really great!

Service is more often than not, poor. Some staff are fine, many are slow, uncaring and below average. Do not expect an efficient or quick trip to Tribeca on Campus, one free lesson is usually not enough time to slip in a quick drink and food.

The food is consistent, nothing too out of the ordinary, and the prices tend to go up and up and the value is no longer there. Too overpriced in my opinion. They also tend to close up early, and around you as you sit there. I should point out, I'm talking 3-4 in the afternoon when many classes go until 5-6 or later. It would be nice to have the option to grab a drink or something at a later time.

The concept is good and the place is generally busy, but options on campus are limited so necessity, as one of the few okay places to go, should not be confused with sufficiency as a place that is actually trying to win customers over.

Occasionally very full due to beginning of semesters. Staff are sometimes friendly ,depending on which waitress helps you. Really delicious food. I recommend "the bird" pizza, the cheesy fries and the old school toasted cheese sandwich.
