Absolutely amazing hosts.

Gary and Lynne were Very friendly and welcoming. The process of planning my partners birthday celebration was very smooth because of their participation. Allowed for an arrangement of a nice picnic setup in the room and it looked amazing. Lynne and Gary went overboard and even created a birthday card for my partner, it's so beautiful and it means a lot to us. Thank you so much for the amazing experience, it's very sentimental to us.

I couldn't have chosen a better place, it was amazing. Rooms are very spacious and clean. They have applied the concept of 'smart living' so well and that makes everything so convinient. Also Really liked the breakfast arrangement. The garden? Absolutely beautiful and refreshing.

What a wonderful place to stay! Great location! The suites were very spacious and spotlessly clean with immaculate attention to detail. Being able to self cater in the well equipped kitchen was a real bonus. The hosts, Lynne and Gary, were very friendly and welcoming and made us feel at home. They made sure we had everything we needed for a pleasant stay. The gardens and pool area were beautiful and very peaceful and relaxing. We would highly recommend 49 On Cherry and already have plans to return in the near future.

Lynne and Gary are truly the most wonderful hosts. We cannot thank them enough for their kindness and friendliness during our stay. Going through the stress of some urgent house renovations, they were absolutely fantastic in helping us in our time of need. In no time at all their accomodation felt like home and we will forever be grateful for everything they did for us during this time. We highly recommend their guesthouse and will definitely be back should the need arise.

It was a last minute decision to travel to JHB and a very last one to arrange accommodation.

Gary and Lynne are fantastic hosts!

I only stayed for one night and wish it was longer.

The unit was spotless and big enough for my family even though I was traveling alone.

They provided a “help yourself” breakfast which consisted of toast, eggs, coffee, three different types of cereals, fruit and juice.

I will definitely stay here again and hopefully next time with my family.

Stayed over with my husband and child(6).A very lovely place for a break. It has everything you need. Friendly helpful hosts. Immaculate rooms although they are very close and share a bit of the front porches so not much privacy. They enforce their quite hours so not ideal for small kids who don't always use their inside voices. Overall a nice place.

Definitely will visit here again when up in Johannesburg. The owners are very kind and super friendly. Rooms are fantastic, neat and very spacious. All necessities were provided. Plus the location is quiet and beautiful which is always an added bonus.

What can I say apart from awesome, awesome, awesome. I stayed at 49 on Cherry in Feb 2020 just prior to Covid turning the world upside down and I said I would be back.
My son is a professional golfer and we were staying in Joburg for a couple of nights after travelling in from Northern Ireland before travelling north to an event, and I couldn’t wait to visit again.
The suites are of such a high standard and made us feel like a home away from home.
The back garden with the pool is so relaxing and peaceful and a great spot to take it easy, enjoy the sunshine and relax.
Lynne and Gary are incredible hosts, so so welcoming and nothing is too much trouble.
Everything about 49 on Cherry is 10/10, and I look forward to visiting again
