Sirkel made my dream engagement ring. I wanted something less traditional but still gorgeous, and they definitely came to the party with a black diamond ring. After almost a year I still just love it.. it's so me :)

Jan is incredibly talented, and is bound to exceed your expectations when it comes to both custom-made and in-store items.

Their shop is beautiful, modern design that echos Sirkel's inherent sophistication. Everything you see is on display is tempting, so expect to leave the store with a new purchase.

Though I’m a regular, long-time 44 Stanley patron, I noticed Jan Bekker’s distinctive design handwriting on the fingers of two discerning women friends long before I became aware of Sirkel Jewellers, his unique treasure trove tucked away in an unobtrusive 44 Stanley back-passage.

As a result, I asked Jan to replicate one of my most precious possessions - a faux antique band of intricately crafted artificially-aged flowers which my husband slipped onto my finger on our first wedding anniversary while I was sleeping.

After a protracted search for a jeweller who could recreate an identical more robust version of this ring but one which would require less frequent fixing, I was a little sceptical about the outcome. Not least because the ring's production demanded a significant style-departure from all of the other lust-have creations in Jan's shop.

Nonetheless, he willingly accepted the commission.“I’m always interested in learning new techniques,” Jan said. He then proceeded to devote much more time than initially budgeted to perfecting each delicate individually crafted flower. I couldn’t be happier with the result. In fact, I’m over the moon!
Just saying… my new ring cost a third of the amount I was quoted by a well-known Sandton “society” jeweller to produce the identical piece. Jan’s craftsmanship was also far superior to the clumsy-looking matching ear-rings this jeweller produced prior to my discovery of Sirkel. And I’ll definitely be dropping a few VERY loud hints in my husband’s ear before our next anniversary…..
