The plumbing issue. Water pipes making unbearable noise from 1am. The worst experience ever with no reception to contact to assist with a different room or alternative! What a lot of pain after a long trip!

Great value for money. You're in the middle of the vine with beautiful landscape.
The room is clean and comfortable.
Don't expect service though. We arrived at 5:30pm, based on hotel recommendation and last wine tasting time... So we were told! Last tasting was actually at 5pm. If hotel had told us, we would have arrived earlier...
We got keys from the security at the gate after tasting told us they were there, the last staff at reception leaving the hotel at 5pm (never saw this in my life!)
Anyway, plan to arrive earlier or be left alone.

The place is absolutely beautiful, and the staff was amazing and helpful especially Tammy and Alex.
The room was modern and spacious.
the breakfast could do with an upgrade as it was limited. But otherwise we had a great time and will definitely come back.

Beautiful setting, great location and so much potential. We were a group of 13 so a substantial booking for the lodge.
Maintenance desperately needed - broken patio door, bubbling paint from damp, stained curtain and chipped furniture; bathroom very outdated and spartan….soap dispensers need a good clean; this needs a human touch - a plant, a soft furnishing, something to give it character. Cold breakfast - no cooked food available - was disappointing. Staff at breakfast were very nice and helpful, reception staff not so much. Not what I expected from de Zalze, even if it is a 4-star!

Great large rooms facing the pool and expansive golf course. Came to check out the special and was pleasantly surprised. Now booked it twice and the service is hit and miss. No food service or water in the room.

Wish we were told that there was a free wine tasting with our stay. We ended up paying for it but it’s one of our favourite wineries. Amazing tasting MCCs

If you are purely in need of a place to sleep they are okay but other than that very disappointing. Restaurant and wine tasting closed due to owner's son's wedding and no other means of accommodating guests. Fire place in room but had to venture out to buy wood on a cold, rainy evening as the establishment does not provide. False advertising...never again. Definitely not worth it.

Amazing lodge, but didn't enjoy not being able to reach anyone after 7pm, you have to wait the next morning 7am for any kind of service. The packed breakfast is not the best I do hope they start opening the restaurant for breakfast.
