Lovely place...freindly employees , amazing looking labels on wine bottles, but unfortunatly not my price range. Lovely affordable coffee, beautiful tangerine and lemon trees which we were allowed to take some with us. What a treat! A really good experience. I would like to come back and experience more.

I was very excited to visit this estate but my experience was a pretty average

The welcoming was decent and we got a nice seat with a view however we weren’t explained how things work and our host took a few minutes before attending to us. The biggest turn off was guests who arrived after us being served before us (if they made an appointment then I get it but at least tell me about it so I can be aware)

The cheese and meat platter was very delicious and well worth it. We loved the Rosè and Sauvignon Blanc. The wines are a bit pricey though

Overall i think the experience could’ve been a bit smoother as it wasn’t that busy at the time

We happened upon this wine farm by accident, as we were in search of pet friendly wine farms, we got so lucky with this find. The views were spectacular.
The service was friendly and helpful.
We did the biltong and wine pairing, they ran out of the one type of meat, so doubled up on the others and provided us with two extra tastings of wine too!
Excluding the welcome drink provided.
The wine was very very good. Was happy to bring some home.
If you're a rosé or red wine fan, oooh and their Sav ???? this is a lovely spot for you.

And the fact that my dog was able to join on the adventure made it so much better.

We have stayed a couple of times and liked it. The Ermitage rooms at bottom of hill is excellent but you are not permitted to breakfast at the better place at the top of the hill. The room in the Manor house was very average. Our favourite was the Pool house. In 2022 when I checked hoping to stay in Feb. 2023, Marianne does no longer appear on any Booking sites (Booking.com; Expedia etc) but all bookings had to be direct with the Winery - and the prices! In 2019 we paid £294 for 4 nights. Prices quoted are now around £200 per night. I think they will have to drop and they will have to go back to the Agencies. We have now (for 2023) booked the Webersburg Wine Estate (better and a lot cheaper).

The choice to stay overnight in Stellenbosch is huge, but the only recommendation is really Marianne Wine Estate! Like so many, we had to postpone our honeymoon until it was possible again due to Covid-19 travel restrictions. We had originally booked in 2020 and were still allowed to come according to the same conditions as a married couple with a credit voucher on May 1, 2022. We arrived a day early, in the evening, due to a misunderstanding. This made no difference to the hostess Yolanda on arrival, she immediately called the manager Cisca. A hospitable solution in the evening was quickly offered by offering us a pool house room at no extra cost. We stayed here the first night, after which a malfunction of the geyser (cannot be repaired during national holiday) we were moved to the Manor villa suite. The personal attention of this great team in combination with the accommodation and the delicious winetasting by Willy brings us to the conclusion that there is no better place to stay than at Marianne Whine Estate in Stellenbosch!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Marianne Wine Estate. We had a little cottage for three friends which was fine cause most of the time we spend exploring the Cape Winelands. The pool is more than great: it's super large, always sunny and has a great view over the estate and its nature. Breakfast was delicious and more than enough.

The only con is actually the WiFi. We were not able to get any WiFi connection in our cottage. There was just WiFi at the Main House. But we dealt pretty good with it cause we were just staying for two nights.

It could only be better if there would be a wine tasting included. Think about it, cause other Wine Farms actually do this :)

Thanks again for the awesome stay!

Neat place. Bathroom just requires a propper bin for paper towels. The waiter Nosie was just amazing and so entertaining to a point where we felt we could ask her to join our table. Thanks for contributing to our day, team!
