I thoroughly enjoyed my one night stay (work trip) at the Elrido Guest Lodge. The Lodge was clean, personnel were friendly and I absolutely loved the location because it made me feel as if I was not in the city (Bloemfontein). It's a great location. I would even recommend it for leisure purposes.

We booked at Elrido lodge a year ago and had a lovely stay. When we needed accommodation last week we didn’t even look for other establishments and we were looking forward to spending time at Elrido again.
We were very disappointed!!
I phoned a couple of days before our stay to ask that a receipt is mailed to me to hand in at work for a refund, I have not received it yet.
The day before our stay I received an email to check in online, which I completed and we were checked into room 1.
Upon arrival the lady said room 1 was already occupied, we would have to stay in room 2 which overlooked on the parking area.
The coffee plunger was not washed, it had coffee in from the previous use.
The shower’s drainage was poor, one had to stand in the water that didn’t flow away.
The distractor fan in the bathroom did not work.
The tv remote did not work.
One of the wall plugs near the bed did not work and was loose, which could potentially be a fire hazard.
We got the impression that Elrido was under staffed as the same lady who checked us in, also worked in the kitchen the following morning and served us breakfast.
At least the bed was comfortable, but
after this disappointing experience we will unfortunately not return to Elrido again.

The area is a little secluded so it is advisable to travel with your own vehicle or be ready to pay for cabs. The views are great and it is a relaxing place.

The place it's self is very nice , an very accommodating, actually enjoyed staying there more than I thought I would.. Good place to be with your loved one...

I was very disappointed in this place. The staff is very unprofessional. While we were eating, the lady doing the dishing, is busy dishing for the staff? I would not recommend this place to anyone. When I tried to speak to the owner, I was never ever called back after trying numerous times to contact her. Really a terrible experience and a huge let down.

Good for an over night stay. Rooms are clean and staff very friendly. Reasonably priced too

Stuff is unprofessional. Bad place to be at. I wont visit the place again never and ever sorry. Breakfast same thing everyday. Very unprofessional I'm disappointed.
