We booked at Elrido lodge a year ago and had a lovely stay. When we needed accommodation last week we didn’t even look for other establishments and we were looking forward to spending time at Elrido again.
We were very disappointed!!
I phoned a couple of days before our stay to ask that a receipt is mailed to me to hand in at work for a refund, I have not received it yet.
The day before our stay I received an email to check in online, which I completed and we were checked into room 1.
Upon arrival the lady said room 1 was already occupied, we would have to stay in room 2 which overlooked on the parking area.
The coffee plunger was not washed, it had coffee in from the previous use.
The shower’s drainage was poor, one had to stand in the water that didn’t flow away.
The distractor fan in the bathroom did not work.
The tv remote did not work.
One of the wall plugs near the bed did not work and was loose, which could potentially be a fire hazard.
We got the impression that Elrido was under staffed as the same lady who checked us in, also worked in the kitchen the following morning and served us breakfast.
At least the bed was comfortable, but
after this disappointing experience we will unfortunately not return to Elrido again.
