My wife had the Ladies Ribs and. Chips, while I had the Eisbien and Chips followed by Cappuccinos. Service was fast and very friendly. Food arrived fast and was hot and very tasty.

Let's start with the good, had a friendly welcome and quick service when ordered a beer.
From there things went downhill
Waitress clearly had a rough day and it showed in how she treated customers.
Basically not talking to customer, just stood there waiting to receive your order Food was absolutely horrible, never ever did I think a fish and chip pub lunch could be that dry, and tasteless.

Koi Pond is really nice for a lazy afternoon but on the day the service and food was a huge disappointment

Terrible experience. We ordered the chicken (Lemon and herb). Repeated it twice to the waiter. Received our food and it was peri peri. Sent it back and ask for Lemon and Herb again. They brought back chicken, THE SAME CHICKEN, which they just rinsed off. Will never go back. Absolutely terrible

Lunchtime celebrations ????????

Casa do Campo - Boksburg has been around for a long time and we have always wanted to give them a try. No matter when you drive past it's always packed with cars, and many friends have said they loved it.

We decided to book here to celebrate my dad's birthday and see what it has to offer.

Great selection of food, and all your usual favourites. For starters we ordered the Garlic Snails, Creamy Garlic Prawns and the Chicken livers. Everything was delicious and full of flavour, we indulged properly and enjoyed their Peri peri sauce too. To drink I had the Sangria which wasnt bad, my mom had the Strawberry Daiquiri, which was a bit too sweet /syrupy and my sisters had the Tequila sunrise.

Although a bit full, we still had to have mains. No ways we passing up some meat. Our waiter Jabu told us the specials, and gave us some suggestions. So we ordered the Chicken and Prawn Curry, the Steak with Mussel sauce, Steak Eggs and Chips, The Chicken and Ribs Combo and the Rabbit Stew. The chips they make are really good topped with their Peri sauce, the steaks were tender, my chicken was finger licking and so was my ribs. The rabbit - tasted like chicken ???? As an extra side we had to have a portion of Milho frito (it's my other love interest besides good Onion Rings) and they were fabulous. Slightly better than my other favourite Portuguese restaurant I normally get from.

Our meals were really fantastic and portions were good. Our Waiter Jabu was also on point with a good sense of humour. Added bonus he mentioned that they sell the Milho Frito unfried, so we could take a portion home and fry it ourselves.

No space for dessert, but I would definitely be back for more. It's obvious now why this place is always busy. Good simple comfort food, and a chilled atmosphere.
