Please don't let your loved once go to this Hospital!!!! My dad was referred to them by the GP. They had him on a drip for few hours(Tuesday). Not helping him while his in a wheelchair. They send him back home 23:30 the night. 3 days later the ambulance had to take him back to Hospital. They admitted him.(Friday) They don't give you any feedback on how his doing or what is wrong. If you call They just say his weak, but fine. He ate his food. After urgent search for a doctor to give you information. The doctor recommends the family must rather come. You get there. They transferred him to another ward, REFUSES YOU TO SEE HIM. next morning get a call to inform you he passed away!! This death certificate says: gastroenteritis but on each page in his file it says diagnose: Sepsis 2nd dehydration.

I would like to thank Dr. Naidoo and everyone in theater 5 involved during the birth of our healthy beautiful baby girl 26/05/2022.
They really do their best to make you feel comfortable, the woman anesthesiologist really is the best she talked me through everything and was there every step of the way during the ceasarean section,i thought i would be scared, beacause of my previous experience at another hospital not mentioning name, but when i heard my baby cry i cried myself.
I am very grateful for everything.
Maternity ward they are great the nurses are very friendly and helpful, thank you for letting my husband be able to see his baby girl soon after she was born.
And thank you Tambo Memorial Baby Network for the baby pack that we received.

Why is that patient files are never kept in an orderly manner ? How many times must people pay for a file because the one opened before has gone missing? Can the hospital please develop a better system of keeping patient files.

The absolute WORST experience ever I had my daughter there last year it was my first baby, and the nurses even one of the doctors treated me with absolutely no respect!! They were shouting at me did not even check my contractions or even helped me to give birth they just stood and laughed at me when I dit not know what to do. They dit not wait for the pain medication to kick in before they gave me stiches and slapped me when I was crying of pain! Then not even minutes later I was chased of the bed and sent toe the maternity ward where none of the nurses helped me and when I was trying to share pictures of my baby to family members and update them that I was okay they yelled at me and told me to tend to my baby. They made me feel like a bad mother for not being able to breast feed and forced me to sit in the hall where there were people to breast feed for an hour. Me and my baby had the worst experience I had to see a therapist because this is not even half of what happend and the worst of all is I was 17 so underaged at the time and was sent in alone without my parents which is illegal. And I don’t know if I was discriminated against because of my colour or my age but I did not feel welcomed at all and the staff should be ashamed of themselves. They are the reason that I never want children ever again!

My sister-in -law was taken into this hospital having fallen and dislocated her elbow. she is 94 and blind so I was terrified about how she would cope. The doctors were amazing, they kept phoning to let us know the situation and what had been done. The nursing staff at warrd 5 were so good ànd spent a lot of time caring for her.Casualty doctors and staff were very good. Such a pity that money is not spent on this hospital which is very old and delapidated.

Rudeness is not even a word to describe. No matter how friendly the patients are. Biggest question... How can a Hospital have business hours? Closed on weekends? It's supposed to be available 24/7. I pray new reliable staff wll be employed .

Their visiting hours or should I say hour is pathetic. 14-00 - 15: 00 just one hour daily and 1 person at a time. So when you are employed it means you cannot see your loved one.and on a weekend 1 hour is just not enough for every family member. Can visiting hours be increased to 2 hours atleast. Pathetic.... parhetic
