Absolutely disgusting behaviour from Akeso. My mom was admitted after stealing from 3 shops with bipolar and being manic. The Psyciatrist would not speak to me. No communication and she was discharged after 5 days. She is in no state to look after herself. I’m taking this up with the psychiatric board of South Africa.

2 stars because the patients were nice aswell as my ot who helped me even though I left there with more traumatic memories than I came in with and I'm not sure if they got behind the whole diarrhea bug thing but that was extremely unpleasant.

This star was even too much to give...but a 5 star to Sr Hazel, Sr Anna, Sr Arries, Sr Noni, Mr Chauke, Sec Janet, Hospital Manager, Sr Titus, Sr Roxy, Mr Kunene, Sr Mama, the OT', my psychologist Elizabeth and the best Dr Langestrom....and last but not least the amazing patients...what an amazing 21 days...but due to the Matron Denise and her racists energy...i will never recommend someone to make use..of Akeso Milnerton to rehabilitate there...rather go to lentegeur rehab its cheaper and pollsmor is FREE......

absolutely trash. i went in for an eating disorder, they arent strict at all, you can throw away food, they dont force you to eat as i experienced with other clinics (they force you to eat) but this clinic doesnt care. nurses was nice, but i do not recommend this place for someone struggling with an eating disorder. also the doctors there arent nice at all. they give you plastic knifes and forks to eat with, which in my opinion is so wrong to do. this place didnt help me at all. will never go back.

During my stay at Akeso Milnerton I got COVID. Before I was admitted I had to get tested and the test had to be negative therefore I went into the clinic testing negative for COVID and came out positive. Regardless of where I got the virus this one lady whom I was informed was sister Denise, made me feel so uncomfortable as she was trying to shift the blame of me getting COVID during my stay at AKESO on me and my family. The facility does have COVID protocols in place however they are not strictly enforcing it. They keep on admitting people to the point where they facility is filled at full capacity. I remember passing through the reception and seeing a boat load of people gathering to admit their loved ones, bearing in mind that the patients are not allowed to have contact with any other people outside the facility. I was also informed that there had been an incident where one of the workers also tested positive for COVID however they kept on admitting patients without informing them that there had been a COVID case within the facility. Sister Denise insisted that I got the virus from having contact with my parents who came to drop my clothes off at the facility however I didn't have any physical contact with them and they did not have the virus or was not in contact with anyone that did have the virus. I understand that she had to do what is best for the business however I expected her to be more remorseful considering that I picked up the virus in the facility. The rooms are not cleaned regularly and the dishes are not cleaned throughly. The people dishing the food up do not wear gloves while dishing the food and the patients are not obligated to wear their masks at all times. Dispite having COVID protocols in place they are not strictly enforcing them and even the management staff do not wear their masks at all times. They were quick to get rid of me when they found out that I tested positive of COVID but yet the patients whom I was in contact with, which is most of them if not all, are not obligated to self-isolate, which means that they are not serious about preventing the spread of COVID within the facility.

Dr Mike West is the best psychiatrist in this world. I dont know what im going to do once he leaves. He helped and above and beyond for his patients. I would not have been here ALIVE today if it was not for Dr Mike West. And Charmaine is thee best receptionist Akeso Millerton has ever had. Can the Hanse and Juanita please change Dr Mike West mind to stay here in South Africa. The nursing staff, cleaning staff , canteen staff all of them are the best. Even the security they reliable and responsible.

But PLEASE Dr Mike West stay till the end of the year????
