Most wonderful hostel with the loveliest staff!
If you visit Cape Town you should definitely also stay in Obz with it’s many little shops, bars, restaurants and cafés!
The hostel has the perfect location with the wonderful balcony facing the main road.
The building has a cool old vibe with wooden floors and lots of art, truly a homey feeling :-)
The rooms are spacious and clean, the kitchen is well equipped.
I’ve made so many friends for life in this hostel, it’s a second home since the first time I visited in 2017.
Will come back many times u003c3

The staff are very friendly. The backpackers provide such a great atmosphere for the young adventure seeker. The lofts are located very conveniently near a whole bunch of bars and thrift shops. They're affordable and they provide a very nice view of observatory. Would highly recommend.

The owner and staff were really welcoming, I felt right at home. Recommended me great places to go!

Location is fantastic, right in the middle of the action. Train station and transport links are close by, making it easy to get anywhere in Cape town

There are supermarkets 5 minutes away, as well as a liquor store right across the road.

Dorms are comfy and the beds are lovely to sleep on. The balconies are awesome, with a good view of the street allowing you to watch the coming and goings of Observatory.

Really awesome place, will be coming back with friends.

Stayed here for an improv festival. The staff are super friendly, there's always someone at reception so it feels very safe. The room was great. And the area is a blast. It's a bit loud at night because of the area, so bring ear plugs and enjoy the many bars right next door!

Great place to stay! And affordable. It has a nice, homely feel to it. Hosts are friendly and really helpful with good tips and recommendations for your stay in Capetown.

You'll find lots of tourist activity ideas at the Loft. It's conveniently located near restaurants, shops and public transport.

My friends and I stayed here recently for about a week and it was a pleasant stay. Definitely a first option next time I'm in Cape Town. I recommend it to anyone visiting Cape town in need of accommodation.

What a unique place. Eveything is a bit old or rusty bit that makes that place do lovable. It's quirky and nicely decorated. Everything is clean and you've got all you need. Jenny is super nice and welcoming and has lots of recommendations.

They offer a light breakfast. Kitchen is well equipment to prepare some meals. Love the balconies! Many restaurants in bars in the street. Can only recommend the hostel!
