Cape Vermeer was for us the absolute highlight of the places we stayed at during our SA trip. Richard is a one of a kind host: attentive, super friendly and he really takes care of you. The rooms are spacious, beautifully decorated and the beds... simply amazing. And the breakfast! The best we had. Personalised to your wishes; with fantastic fresh bakes and delicious coffee. Richard helped us with restaurant recommendations and provided great information about on what to do around Somerset West.

Can't begin to describe how much we LOVED staying at Cape Vermeer. What originally started as a one night stay - has turned out to be 3 separate bookings over the course of our holiday. Truly the most perfect location, accommodation and host (Richard) you could wish for!
If you have a chance to have a glass of wine / beer in the evening. You'll find the most beautiful location in the lounge with gorgeous views below.

Richard, the Dutch host, and his amazing team made our stay exceptionally good. Breakfast was served in a picnic basket and was stacked with tasty treats. The property felt like a boutique hotel with a stylish and minimalistic interior. The bed was the best we slept in during our SA travels and big enough to not have your feet sticking out (as with many beds in SA). Great attention to detail overall!

The only negative comment on our stay is that we didn't book more nights!

Beautiful gem in Somerset West with super hospitality from the host, Richard. Look no further if you are visit the Helderberg area and needing a place to stay. Here is your happy place... Highly recommended!
