We had such a wonderful time at Happy Homes last week while we visited Cape Town. It is small, but has everything necessary for a little holiday. We can definitely recommend this for a family of 4.

The unit is very nice. Enough room for the family.
Problem is that there are homeless people living close and use the outside wall to urinate. The patio smells and at night you have the smell coming through the windows. The homeless also spend the night fighting, sorting their cans etc.
We stayed one night and moved out and went to another guest house rather. Wasted money but I couldn't let me family stay there anymore. None of us slept that night.

Was a lovely spot we found, pity the Booking.com description is unclear - as this shows up on an entire private apartment rental search yet is actually per room in separate 2 bedroom apartments... Staff/manager were lovely and friendly though.

We spoke to the owner for a long stay arrangement as wanted to book the entire apartment for 2 months upfront. Decided against this Considering we've stayed at many places for business travel and comparing them to previous accommodation the quote we got was not worth it... Long stays are usually hugely discounted as of course this is an upfront large sum of money for 1 or 2 months... Yet owner obviously wanted to charge a standard daily rate or close to... I suppose taking a chance that you'd get booked for every single day is alright but this would be more work for them and cost more in cleaning etc etc.... A comment was made by the owner which didn't sit well either...
"We don't care about reviews - we make money anyway"

All and all the accommodation is passable... Yet pity about the attitude from owner...

Only thing to really noted was the over all cleanliness... Kitchen was grimey and seriously under stocked... As was the bathroom. (changing the bedding and sweeping is not the only thing needed for each new guest)

Passbale stay if you're needing a spot for a couple days.... But such a pity as this place has so much potential... Could be 50x more profitable....

Book in was late. Then we booked one Apartment and then re- assigned to a very inferior Apartment. The Door was totally broken, door handle missing, Floors filthy, chair broken. No remote for the Garage, so you have to get out of your car late at night and find a security guard. Atrocious service with no attempt to make amends.
