Where to begin with this place: just WOW what and experience. You are warmly greeted by Ricky when you arrive, sit and your table and then you get to wonder up to the fridge and grab whatever your table feels like (waters, soft drinks etc) as it’s BYOB - so don’t forgot to bring your own alcohol. He then runs through the menu and tells you the specials etc. The food is incredible and the portion sizes are big so we did table sharing with a few different dishes, that way you can also try array of things. The atmosphere is incredible a real Italian experience. We already booked for March when we are back in Cape Town. Thank you Ricky and the team, one of the better hidden gems in Cape Town.

All about the food experience! Scarpetta have great food and quick efficient service. The highlight of the experience is the ongoing service you receive from the owner and head chef as he walls around his restaurant enjoying the dinner service just as much as the patrons. As explained to us the dishes can change daily or weekly which means you will always be in for a treat.

Great Italian food served by passionate and friendly staff! Extensive menu and all the dishes are delicious. Remember to take your own alcohol!

Beat ever pasta dinner. Wonderful ambiance, busy and vibes. Owner so funny and takes time to speak to all his guests. I wish we had a bigger candle on our table so we could have appreciated the delicious meal a little better....it was a little dark at the table.
But wonderful evening and we definitely going back.

Oh man, what a little gem! The owner is fantastic u0026 loved his authentic Italian experience. The food was delicious u0026 as a vegetarian, I did not feel left out one bit.

It was a random Wednesday night u0026 we were out for a siblings dinner but the place was full with an awesome vibe.
I loved the little packet or bread to start, the fact that you can fetch your own drinks like you are part of the family or even bring your own booze. The owner rattles off fantastic specials and really does give great recommendations.

We felt the pricing was fair for the quality of food and the mains were quite large in size. There is also an art involved in creating these pallet masterpieces so what you pay is really worth it.
