One of my favourite bars this side of town! The drinks cheap (you can get a decent bottle of wine for R100) and you'll feel right at home as you drink with the regulars. The food is quite good too, but it's the atmosphere and friendly service that you should look forward to. It's dog-friendly, open til late, has inside and outside areas, and the bar keep knows everyone's name.

Home Bar is an old favourite of mine - great crowd and consistently excellent food. I love the renovations to the seating area and the addition of cocktails to the menu! Thanks Charlie and team - this is Cape Town's version of the bar where everyone knows your name!

A must if you live in Claremont. Cold beer and Tequila, good wine selection, expect friendly banter and the food is superb. Well worth the wait. Home Burger is tops and the chicken livers is superb.

I was pretty impressed with the food. The venue is rather unassuming and we were slightly apprehensive at first... we were not over by the quality of the food. A good thumbs up from me.

Best burger I've had in a while! A lovely cosy, local restaurant and bar! Nice for a quick bite to eat! Pitty they were out of their famous yagerbomb slushies.

Great atmosphere, really friendly staff, proper local with cold beer, what more do you want. Perhaps a craft beer or two would be a welcome addition.
