Want to feel like family? Almost like you are eating dinner with family at a Sunday lunch that only mom can make, then this is the restaurant to visit.
You are immediately welcomed with a friendly hostess.
The owner came around twice to come and say hello and find out how the food was.
The table had chicken and butternut salad, burgers and steak with a delicious blue cheese and mushroom sauce.
Go say hi and spend an evening
You will not regret it.
Try some dessert shooters, the lime one is the best. Thanks very much

It was once again an absolute pleasure to dine at The Avenue. Their food was succulent and delicious, couldn’t resist to dig in with my hands. Despite the mix up with our reservation, they more than made up for it and left happy!

Wonderful experience, I would definitely be back and highly recommend. We were warmly welcomed by the owner and staff and treated like regulars. We had the sirloin and fillet and both were perfectly to order. Good wine selection from well known and lesser known farms. We made a reservation at short notice on a Saturday evening, but we would've been seated regardless.

Fantastic service!! The staff are so kind and attentive. I really enjoyed the food as well; warm, tasty steak, juicy flavorful chicken as well as the best seafood I've ever had for an affordable price. Blown away!! Highly recommend. Tip: if you do decide to eat at the Avenue at 5pm until 6:45 pm then ask for the curtainraiser menu. Steak and seafood or chicken combo for R150

I have been to this restaurant a couple times now, and every time has been wonderful. The staff are nice and friendly, and the food is delicious, good portion and presentation; and the atmosphere of the restaurant is a good balance between vibrant and intimate. Tonight I had my usual 350g Sirloin steak which never disappoints, while the rest of my family thoroughly enjoyed the gourmet burgers. Unfortunately, I did not have space for a milkshake.

An unexpected trip down the quaint 2nd Ave, Claremont, we found ourselves at The Avenue restaurant. It was buzzing with an assortment of people as I made a grand entrance by almost falling on my face. The gracious owner, now grinning from ear to ear, helped me to my feet, and guided us to a perfect little candle lit table near a window in the corner. I had never been here before and had no idea what to expect so the deliciousness and well portioned meals that followed were a wonderful surprise. We started with Chef Rudi’s famous salad followed by pan fried sole with garlic butter and savoury rice. My partner indulged with a tender Beef Stroganoff served with mash. The total bill came to R585 including tip. Well worth a visit, especially for that weekend buzz.

Very friendly staff (and they were very welcoming to our two puppies too...with no fewer than 4 coming over to greet our pups and bring them water). The kingklip was very tasty and the chicken kebabs were scrumptious... plus healthy, ample sides and a wide range of starches to choose from (will have the baked sweet potato again ????). Next time I'll be trying a vegetarian option! Oh... and the naartjie and hibiscus kombucha!!
