My family rent a cottage here for a holiday every year. Such a beautiful tranquil place. Huge sparkling pool and springbok and lots of birds. Very well looked after and secure.

WOW! ✨???? The Maple Cottage at Houtkapperspoort exceeded every expectation! From the up-close encounters with Springbok as we enjoyed morning coffee on the lawn to refreshing swims in the massive pool. We felt like we had stepped into a tranquil sanctuary just a 5 minute walk from Constantia’s Wine Valley including popular spots such as La Parada u0026 Beau Constantia. The cottage itself was equipped with everything we needed - and more. A true home away from home. We will be returning as soon as they have an empty spot for us!

We spent a weekend in Houtkappers, in a lodge called the "Maple cottage" and it was absolutely wonderful! The estate is surrounded by tree's and wildlife - we even had springboks eating in our front garden! Will definitely be returning when there is a space available!

We stayed at the mountain cottage in April 2021 for the easter weekend with another couple. This estate is beautiful and peaceful! The cottage was exquisite and neat. The grass is so green and the pool was magnificent!!! Definitely going back there soon!!! Ross was our host and he was brilliant ????

This tranquil refuge is beautifully and soberly welcoming offering some spectacular views of the majestic Cape Town landscape. Some wonderful memories were made here. The swimming pool is a dream.

This was our second stay at HKP and first at poplar cottage. We love the tranquility and the facilities are very well looked after! It is just a hop over onto the mountain and tennis plus pool time was enjoyed by us all. Thank you to Ross and the security and groundskeepers for another wonderful stay. We will be back. We were only there to pick up someone so didn't go into any cute stone-clad cottages - but the place was so beautifully laid out and the gardens were wonderful. There were a few springbok roaming freely in the gardens which gave the place a lovely ambiance. But I wondered about their suitability for the misty and wet habitat of Constantia Nek because these antelope are more usually found in drier areas like the Karoo and Kalahari.
